What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary health practice that is based on the principle that there are reflex areas on the feet, hands, and the outer ear which correspond to organs, glands and areas of the body. Reflexologists use noninvasive techniques, such as thumb and finger walking, to gently stimulate these reflex areas, which supports the opening of blood and lymph flow and promotes the unblocking of the nerve impulses that ultimately keep our bodily systems working at their best.

Mindful Reflexology

During a Mindful Reflexology session there is a focus on the areas of the body that are involved in both the stress reaction and those that may be affected if there is long term stress.  These sessions are deeply relaxing and particularly beneficial for those who struggle with feelings of overwhelm, depression, or anxiety.  This protocol is also very supportive to those navigating perimenopause and menopause symptoms.

Structural Reflexology

“Structural Reflexology is the practice of integrating foot reflexology with anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology by using local and reflexive methods to release stress and compensation in the entire body.  This approach addresses tension sites on the feet as the product of local muscle and ligament strain while maintaining an understanding of how these sites of tension on the feet will impact the rest of the body.”

Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology has some unique therapeutic benefits. Facial Reflexology aims to help your entire body function at its optimal level.  Additionally,  facial reflexology often results in a more radiant and firmer complexion.  Clients report very positive emotional benefits as well.   I offer a shorter 20 – minute facial reflexology component that can be part of a 60 or 90 – minute reflexology session.
